Switched bedding brand two days ago and his droppings went soft. Not watery, just softer than usual and a bit lighter in colour. He is still eating, drinking and running. Everything I read says see a vet immediately, but he genuinely seems fine otherwise. How long would you wait...

Mine did this after switching to a scented brand. Back to unscented and it cleared in two days.

The bedding change is the likely cause. If it is only softer and he is eating, I would give it 48 hours back on the old bedding.

Midnight wheel marathon. Is yours this loud too? Mine starts at exactly 23:40 every night like he has a schedule. I started leaving the room light on low and the noise seems calmer, or maybe I just sleep better now.

What I actually feed as treats now (after wasting a lot of money)

Switching from seed mix to pellets — how slow?

My dwarf refuses pellets completely. I have tried mixing them in at about 10% and he just picks around them.

How long did it take yours to accept a new food? Any tricks?

Mine was the same at 10%. It was 30% mixed with his old food that finally got him eating them.

Try soaking two pellets in water for a minute first, the smell changes completely and mine suddenly ate them.

Mine took about three weeks. What worked was cutting the pellets in half and scattering them in the bedding instead of the bowl.
