Water bottle vs bowl — converted and never going back

Switched to a shallow ceramic bowl last month. He drinks noticeably more and it is much easier to see how much he is actually getting.

Only downside is he fills it with bedding within an hour.

How did you frame the mesh? I tried something similar and the edges kept coming loose.

The cage size recommendations have changed a lot, and for the better. You are coming back at a good time.

The bedding in the bowl thing is universal. I put mine on a small platform and it stopped completely.

Ceramic made a difference here too, much easier to see the level than with the bottle.

Does he still drink enough when it is partly buried? Mine gives up if there is anything in it.

Mine drinks noticeably more from the dish as well. I only noticed how little he used the bottle after switching.

Shallow is the key bit. I tried a deep one first and he would not use it at all.
